Earth Day at Edi and the Wolf
Edi and the Wolf, the Austrian spot on Avenue C, will celebrate Earth Day today with a four-course menu featuring “sustainable springtime ingredients” paired with biodynamic wine producers from Austria. The restaurant promises garlic soup, white asparagus, fish with fiddlehead ferns, and hedgehog mushrooms. Dining + Design, Conversations with Chefs and Architects
The New School and the James Beard Foundation will come together to host panels this spring that discuss how to create the “ideal dining experience.” The first of the series is this evening, and chefs Dan Barber and Laureen Barber from Blue Hill and Blue Hill at Stone Barns (in Pocantico Hills, NY) will talk shop with architect Peter Guzy and Mitchell Davis, the executive vice president of the James Beard Foundation. Dalmore Single-Malt Blend at Daniel Boulud’s Restaurants
Starting Tuesday, Daniel Boulud will begin serving his custom-made Dalmore single-malt blend at six of his restaurants as part of tasting menus. At DBGB Kitchen & Bar guests can order a three-course meal paired with the spirit for $75; at Daniel the price jumps up to $260. Various Locations

Ultimate Nachos at BookCourt

Beer Dinner and a Movie at Nitehawk Cinema
As part of Nitehawk Cinema’s Beer Dinner and a Movie series, the theater will pair brews from Coney Island Craft Lagers with The Warriors. The four-course dinner menu is based on fight scenes from the film and includes braised pork belly with cheddar grits and kale, weisswurst with Coney Island-braised onions, and candied-apple soft-serve.
