Container Drayage Service Areas from South Florida's Seaports

New Roads Logistics serves container moves that originate at PortMiami or Port Everglades. We provide local delivery throughout Miami-Dade and Broward and inland Florida delivery on our own trucks to Orlando, Tampa, Sarasota, Naples, and Fort Myers. The two South Florida seaports are the origin points for this service. We do not describe an inland destination as a separate drayage market or claim a presence at another port.

Two port origins, one asset-based carrier

Every service area on this page is tied to a container moving from PortMiami or Port Everglades. New Roads Logistics uses company-owned tractors and company drivers for accepted moves, with GPS tracking from the active port step through delivery and empty recovery. The origin, terminal, release status, container size, verified weight, destination, and receiver instructions all form part of the dispatch plan.

Using one motor carrier keeps responsibility for the accepted road movement in one operating team. Dispatch reviews the terminal pickup, destination access, unload method, later empty pickup when needed, and return instruction before confirming the move. If the requested movement does not begin at one of the two South Florida seaports or fit our Florida operating area, dispatch will say that it is outside our service area.

Miami-Dade local delivery

Miami-Dade deliveries from PortMiami or Port Everglades include Miami, Doral, Medley, Hialeah, Hialeah Gardens, Opa-locka, and Miami Gardens, along with other destinations that dispatch confirms within the county. These submarkets contain a mix of importers, distributors, manufacturing sites, construction destinations, and container receiving facilities. The label local does not remove the need for a complete delivery plan.

Doral and Medley container delivery

Doral and Medley are frequent destination areas for South Florida port containers because many import and distribution operations are located west of central Miami. For an accepted move, the customer supplies the complete receiving location rather than only a city name. Industrial entrances, appointment processes, dock layouts, and container-placement rules vary by property.

Hialeah, Hialeah Gardens, Opa-locka, and Miami Gardens

The northern Miami-Dade submarkets of Hialeah, Hialeah Gardens, Opa-locka, and Miami Gardens are served for qualifying container deliveries from both South Florida seaports. The correct origin is the terminal holding the individual container. Dispatch checks that origin and release before choosing the truck plan; a destination near one port does not change the facility where the ocean container must be collected.

Broward local delivery

Broward County delivery includes Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, Davie, and Sunrise, together with other county destinations approved by dispatch. Port Everglades is located in Broward, but containers from PortMiami can also be delivered into Broward when the shipment plan fits. Likewise, a Port Everglades container may move into Miami-Dade. The container record, not the delivery county, determines the pickup terminal.

Inland Florida delivery from PortMiami and Port Everglades

New Roads Logistics provides inland Florida delivery from the two South Florida seaports to Orlando, Tampa, Sarasota, Naples, and Fort Myers. These are port-to-destination container moves completed on NRL tractors with company drivers. They are not claims of local drayage service in those cities and do not imply that we serve Port Tampa Bay, JAXPORT, or any other marine gateway.

Orlando and Tampa port-origin deliveries

We deliver qualifying import containers from PortMiami or Port Everglades to Orlando and Tampa on our own trucks. The service begins at the South Florida terminal identified for the shipment. We do not present either inland city as an origin for independent drayage work. Dispatch confirms each trip from the port release through the receiver and subsequent equipment return.

Sarasota, Naples, and Fort Myers port-origin deliveries

Sarasota, Naples, and Fort Myers are also supported as inland Florida destinations for containers released from PortMiami or Port Everglades. These moves remain under the same asset-based model: an NRL tractor and company driver carry the accepted container from the South Florida seaport to the named receiver. There is no handoff to another road carrier.

What is outside the service area

Deliveries outside Florida are outside NRL's operating area. We also do not claim general trucking coverage between unrelated inland cities. The inland service described here is limited to ocean containers moving from PortMiami or Port Everglades to the specified Florida markets. A request from Chicago to Dallas, for example, is not a South Florida port-origin container move and is outside our scope.

We do not broker or arrange freight.

Frequently asked questions

What are the two origin points for your service areas?
Our container service areas begin at PortMiami or Port Everglades. The shipment record identifies the terminal holding the container, and dispatch plans delivery from that South Florida seaport.
Which Miami-Dade submarkets receive local port containers?
Qualifying deliveries include Doral, Medley, Hialeah, Hialeah Gardens, Opa-locka, and Miami Gardens, plus other Miami-Dade addresses approved by dispatch after site and load review.
Which Broward submarkets are in the local delivery area?
Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, Davie, and Sunrise are named Broward destinations, with other county addresses reviewed by dispatch. The exact site still needs safe equipment access and confirmed receiving instructions.
Do you provide local drayage service in Orlando or Tampa?
No. Orlando and Tampa are inland delivery destinations for containers originating at PortMiami or Port Everglades. We do not claim independent local drayage operations in those cities or at another Florida port.
Can one NRL truck carry my container from the port to Southwest Florida?
Yes, for accepted moves to Sarasota, Naples, or Fort Myers. An NRL tractor and company driver carry the container from PortMiami or Port Everglades under one port-to-destination plan.
Are destinations outside Florida included in your service area?
No. Deliveries outside Florida are outside NRL's operating area. Dispatch reviews Florida requests only when they are tied to a container originating at PortMiami or Port Everglades.
