Import container pickup and delivery

An import move begins only after the container is discharged, released by the ocean carrier, available at the correct terminal, and clear for lawful pickup. Export delivery and later equipment return

For an export move, the customer supplies the booking, container information, pickup location, loaded status, weight, export terminal, and required receiving window. Dispatch checks that the terminal and booking information match before movement.

Pre-pull before final delivery

A pre-pull removes an available import container from the marine terminal before the consignee is ready to receive it. This can be useful when terminal timing and receiver timing do not align.

New Roads Logistics stores sealed containers in its own yard as part of an accepted container movement. Public pages do not list a daily price or free-day allowance.

Live load and live unload

During a live load or live unload, the driver remains with the tractor and container while the shipper or receiver works the cargo. Dispatch needs the location, appointment or receiving instructions, site contact, and expected process supplied by the facility.

Drop and pick

A drop-and-pick move leaves the loaded container on the chassis at the delivery site and returns later to recover the empty. The receiver must have safe access, space for the equipment, and a clear method for confirming that unloading is complete.

Empty return and per diem exposure

An empty container is not complete operationally until it is returned to the location designated by the ocean carrier or equipment provider. Return directions can change, so dispatch checks the current instruction before the empty move.

Overweight container drayage

Heavy sealed containers require verified gross mass, cargo weight, container size, destination, and timing before pickup. NRL holds an FDOT overweight blanket permit and can use tri-axle or quad-axle chassis supplied for a suitable load.

Out-of-gauge, flat rack, open-top, and breakbulk cargo

Out-of-gauge work concerns cargo dimensions and equipment, not only weight. Flat racks, open-top containers, and breakbulk pieces require accurate length, width, height, weight, securement information, pickup location, delivery access, and timing.

Last-free-day rescue planning

When a customer contacts us near last free day, dispatch first checks whether the container is actually released and available. A date by itself does not guarantee a terminal transaction or equipment.

Exam hold movement and re-delivery

A government or facility examination can suspend normal delivery and may create a move to an examination location followed by re-delivery after release. The responsible authority controls the hold and release.

Damaged container and rework support

If a container or its cargo condition prevents the planned move, dispatch needs clear photographs, terminal or facility instructions, container status, and the party authorized to direct the next trucking step. NRL does not decide claims liability or promise that a terminal will release damaged equipment.

Inland Florida delivery on our own trucks

NRL provides inland delivery from PortMiami and Port Everglades to Orlando, Tampa, Sarasota, Naples, and Fort Myers on its own tractors with company drivers. These are complete ocean-container moves originating at one of the two South Florida seaports.
